Victoria Beckham Floats 5 ½ Inches Above the Ground Without Heels

Though it was a gathering to launch David and Victoria Beckham’s signature perfumes last night at Macy’s in London, it were actually Posh Spice’s boots that got all the attention. The fans and the fashion enthusiasts went wild as the missus swayed in her skin-tight thigh-high PVC boots that were five ½ inches high without heels.

The gravity defying boots came from designer Berardi’s fashion workshop. The 40-year-old English-Italian came out with the heel-less revolution early this year. Beckham, Uma Thurman and Gwyneth Paltrow were amongst his first clientele. Charging the sandals for a comparatively reasonable $3,500, he does not mean to introduce new fashion at the cost of discomfort he says.

Berardi insists that the shoes are perfectly balanced with a Ballerina like grace. At the fittings, the girls do feel awkward looking at the shoe initially but by the end they themselves say that it is nothing different from wearing a regular shoe. Apparently, the concept of ‘heels’ is called psychological by this designer.
