His latest collection of 1001 (not Arabian) Nights Collection is being hailed as not just mediocre but a rather sad copy of his Daisy collection. Such negative comments coming from fans who had been loyal to him earlier may mark the end of a glorious career.

The 1001 Nuits launched by Louis Vuitton, include gold rings and earrings with jewel studded flower motifs, but the decadent designs fail to raise interest amongst Jacobs’ obsessed glamour-seekers. Stamped with the Louis Vuitton mark, the jewelry pieces remain bling blings that don’t have any bang in them; especially the gold bracelet that appears as a humongous chunk of gold that spells LV. Does Jacobs think the LV mark will make his designs sell no matter what?
